Grade 6 Transition.

The grade 6 to Year 7 transition process for all students at Preston North East is an exciting and important part of their final year of primary school.

Staff at Preston North East are here to make this process as easy as possible.

All 2018 grade 6 students at PNE have now received their transition packs to take home and give to their parents / carers. These packs contain very important information regarding applying for Year 7 placement at a government secondary school.

The Application for Year 7 Placement form must be returned to Tom McCluskey by Friday the 11th of May.

This form is the only document that needs to be returned to school. Once this form is returned, we will submit these to the relevant secondary schools.

We will then notify parents / carers of placement offers on Wednesday the 8th August.

If any parent / carer needs any assistance completing this form or has any questions about grade 6 to year 7 transition, please come and speak to Tom McCluskey.

Students going through to Year 7 in 2019 will also have the option of enrolling at the new Preston High School as well as those listed below. If parents/carers are interested in this new school they should look out for information coming home soon.
