Grade Prep Area
The Grade Prep Area in 2009 comprises 2 classes: Kathy Angelopoulos (PRK, Room 6) and Vanessa Tavoletti (PRV, Room 7). Both classrooms are in the South Block of the school and the Team Leader is Kathy Angelopoulos.
The Prep Area is in full swing this term with lots of things going on. We can’t believe how fast the time is going.
We finished off our ‘Pets’ Inquiry Unit with an excursion to the Collingwood Children’s Farm, which was a huge success. We are now well into learning about ‘Celebrations through the Five Senses’, our inquiry unit for term 4, which involves exploring the ways we communicate using our five senses. We will be going on a walk to Northland, where the students can smell, touch, taste, hear and see many different things.
The Prep Prom is fast approaching, with all the students and staff working hard to put together what will be a memorable and very exciting night for the children, parents, grandparents, teachers and friends of the school.
The theme this year is ‘Preps at Sea’ and will be a special night for the Preps to celebrate completing their first year of school at Preston North East, where they will receive a certificate and perform a number of songs and dances.
We are pleased to announce that it will be held on Wednesday the 2nd of December 2009 in the school hall from 6.30pm until approximately 8.00pm.
The Prep Area has worked very hard this year and has had a lot of fun in all areas of school. Kathy and Vanessa are very proud of the children and will miss them a lot when they move on next year.
