Koori Education

Koori Education is designed for students who are of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and who identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and, each student is accepted as such by the community in which he or she lives.

The program supports the Koori students of Preston North East Primary School and aims to:

• Encourage parental involvement
• Improve student access to education
• Increase student participation and attendance
• Improve students educational outcomes
• Participate in educational and sporting excursions and cultural activities.

The students, Parents and carers are assisted in this process by our Koori Educator, Lee Him.
